+ Attaching + to a word requires that the word be found in all of the search results. Example: +Jackie +Chan will return pages that contain Jackie and Chan in their descriptions or titles.

Attaching - in front of a word requires that the word not be found in any of the search results. Example: Jackie -Mason will return pages that contain the word Jackie but will not return pages that are about Jackie Mason.
- t:
will restrict searches to document titles only. Example: t:Intel will return pages that have Intel in their titles.
- u:
will restrict searches to document URLs only. Example: u:ibm.com will return only pages within the ibm.com domain.
- "" Putting quotes around a set of words will find only results that match the words in that exact sequence. Example: "Soccer Ball" will find Kendis Industries, Inc. - official soccer ball of the NPSL. Uniforms, balls and much more. Soccer Ball alone will also find Senter, Amber - Ballstop’s Page - alternative music and soccer.
- * Attaching * to the right hand side of a word will return left-side partial matches. Example cap* will find caption, caper, captain, cap, etc.
You may combine any of the query syntax as long as the syntax is combined in the proper order. The proper order for using the syntax is +, -, t:, u:, "", and *.
Correct example : +t:camel -joe
Incorrect example: t:+camel -joe
